Director Ridley Scott, who is recovering from a recent surgery, won't be able to show up at the screening of his film, Robin Hood at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. Scott recently underwent an operation on his knee and his recovery has been slower than expected by his doctor who have now ordered him to rest up and take time off from work. In his statement, Scott said that it is with the most sincere regret that he is required to miss the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival and the screening of Robin Hood. He sent his best wishes to producer Brain Grazer and the cast of the film who will be representing the film at the festival.
